    Re:Travel Buddy Exchange, USA

Cari Ann: I also teach Kindergarten, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Is your travel buddy a type of stuffed toy that travels to different locations? I am assuming the "hosts" would write in a journal and send some goodies from our local back to you? If this is along the lines that you are thinking, I would love to be a part of your project, if you could send the particulars. Thanks, Bridget Ayers

    Re:Travel Buddy Exchange, USA

Hi I also teach kindergarten in Escondido, California, USA. I have done ePALS projects in the past with my k's, including buddy exchanges. I would love to be included in your project, if possible. We could send our classroom buddy, Clifford, to your class in exchange. Currently, his friend, T-Bone, is traviling with a friend of mine inn her RV. He reports back to us with pictures of himself in interesting places (like Grand Canyon, Graceland, etc.). We would be happy to share these, too. If interested, please contact me at jdillin@epals.com. Thanks. Joanne

    Re:Travel Buddy Exchange, USA

Hi I also teach Kindergarden (4 to 6 years old) in Escondido, California. We would love to have our travel buddy, Clifford, visit your school, and would love to have your travel buddy visit us, if possible. I have done similar projects with my kindergarten classes in the past, and it was always very positive and motivating for the students. Currently, we also have Clifford's friend, T-Bone traveling with a friend of mine in her RV and would gladly share some of his adventures. She takes pictures of him wherever they travel (Grand Canyon, etc.) and emails my kids with information about the areas they are visiting. If you think this would be of interest and workable for you, please let me know at jdillin@epals.com. Thank you, Joanne

    Re:Travel Buddy Exchange, Canada

Hi The travel buddy project is really fun to do, and the only cost involved with this project is when you mail the travel buddy out (this will vary depending on your mail service). If you want to send a travel buddy, then there will be cost in buying a stuffed animal that represents your country and anything else you want to send with your buddy. For example, our travel buddy is a beaver and in his “den” (a small box) we have put in a disposable camera so pictures can be taken of where you live and anything interesting you want to share, like landmarks and festivals. The most important thing in the box is a travel journal that the children fill out when they take him home for the night or weekend. Hope this helps If you have any more questions you can email at tinytimschool@epals.com Cari-Ann

    Re:Travel Buddy Exchange, USA

Hi Cari-Ann: My school would be happy to host your mascot. I see that you have a reply from the city of Newark already. Orange, New Jersey is a neighboring city so if you'd like, I'm sure that Shirley and I could make arrangements to have your friend visit both cities before it's return. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Miriam Garau
