I am a history-geography teacher in French. I teach in a Spanish public school (pupils aged 12-16). My students belong a plurilingual program, so they study different subjects in English, French and Spanish. In this moment I have two groups (14-16 years old) of 30 students interested in emails and trip. We normally do exchanges with French cities but now we are looking for English speaking countries or bilingual states (f.e. Canada). So, if you are interested or you can help me with this project, I would really appreciate it. My school is in Granada, south of Spain and it is one of the best of the city. Students are polite and hard worker.

The conference kicks off each day with a keynote address from a leading technology expert. October 8 features Dr. Kathleen King – award-winning author, digital media/instructional technology expert, and co-host of the 5 million listener podcast, “The Teachers’ Podcast” – who will discuss how to prepare teachers to function inside a brave new world filled with technological possibilities. On October 9, Don McNamee from Kristin School in Auckland, New Zealand, will share his expertise via live videoconference, discussing how new television tools such as Slingbox and Livestation can be put to good educational use.

Interactive Workshops

Attendees may select up to seven of the nearly 30 interactive workshops to attend during the two-day conference. Topics range from videoconferencing and podcasting to robotics and green-screen technology. All workshops are led by experienced Langley faculty or outside experts and are held in 50-minute blocks.

Tech Playground

At the end of each day, you will have the opportunity to browse our tech playground which features numerous 5- to 10-minute mini-sessions. As you rotate through the stations, you will discover how teachers found a single tech integration item useful in the classroom.

Q&A/Panel Discussion

Join us for an interactive session at the end of the conference on Friday, October 9 when we will use personal response systems to learn from you and with you. Wiki's are collaborative in nature and students can post from their computer and discuss topics that help facilitate their understanding of the different cultures of the students participating. Hopefully we can get schools interested from all 7 continents and let the students look at the differences and similarities of middle school students around the world.

My name is Lia Mestvirishvili. I am a principal of Georgian-American Secondary REBER SCHOOL. Tbilisi. The Republic of Georgia. We teach subjects in Georgian and in American English Languages. I am looking for a partner - American Teacher who wants to establish American school in Tbilisi. As there are many American kids who's parents live and work in Tbilisi. And there are no schools for them where they could study all the subjects in their native language. I have a big experience in teaching. But I need a partner - native speaker. I hope that will be a great job.

sincerely
