I am primarily looking for penpals for one of the groups (18 students) but if I can find penpals for all 45 students, that would be great!

The goal is for the students to practice their English and learn about an English speaking country.

Please =)...

Sincerely,

The students are extremely bright, and many are very talented writers. They do journal entries every week that I have them do as a blog on our class website I created.

I am hoping to find another English speaking country, preferably European, to write them back and to also read their blogs, not only to experience other talented students' writing, but also to expose them to culture outside their own. They live in a smaller, farming community and all will be going off to larger universities where being ethnocentric will be a determent. This is a college preparatory class, and I am open to a wide variety of topics as the focus of their blogs. It is focused around creative writing, but I think it is good for them to touch on socio-political and cultural topics. Currently, I had them write an introductory blog discussing themselves and life as they know it being an American teenager.

My classes are about 16-18 students each except my advanced English which is only 8 people. If you do not have a few larger classes like this, I would be interested in taking on a different class for each one of my own.

I teach English to a group of 15 students. They are
between 13 and 14 and have been learning English for 2 years. They are eager to communicate with
English-speaking penpals through emails (at least once a month) to talk
about their way of life, culture, hobbies, etc....

Their level of English is quite basic but they would benefit very much from the incentive of talking to "real people" !!!!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

We have been studying a unit on India. We have learned about these big ideas in India. My students would love to discuss them with you!!
