Re:Cars safe from computer viruses, USA

That's odd, I've never heard about cars catching viruses and from a mobile phone. I guess the problems from the future are starting to become a reality. Have you ever heard of Blue-tooth technolgy?

I think it would be nearly impossible to infect a car's computer with a virus because of one. How would you get it there? Catching a virus on your cell phone alone is very difficult. And Two: Only the manufacutering companies know how their computer works, internally as far as encryption, or anything else exploitable. Though I'm sure if Kevin Mitnick was up to it he could.

I don't think that a virus can get into a car well even if a virus does get into a car then they will most likely fix it, like look at the things they are coming up with.

Re:Cars safe from computer viruses, Canada

I think it is cool but not cool at the same time. It's amazing to see how far we have come in the decade, 10 years ago people would probabaly laugh about this. I guess the lexus cars must be really high definition. The only way for a car to catch a virus in my opinion is if it has a built in computer with internet or a defected part.

Cars safe from computer viruses, Russia

A security firm has proved that today's cars cannot catch computer viruses. After exhaustive testing Finnish security firm F-Secure has failed to make a virus leap from a mobile phone handset to a car's onboard communications system. F-Secure did the tests in response to rumours that some Lexus cars had been infected by a virus. Many security firms fear that the increasing number of computers and communications system on cars will eventually make them vulnerable to the viruses that plague desktop machines. The only problems with the car emerged when the battery was drained by all the testing. The only problem that F-Secure found was caused by a corrupted phone name. Having read my message you can write to me the opinion on it. I wait for your letters. And what did you think about it?
