That is just when the Mayans stopped keeping track of their calendar. That does not mean anything to when the world will end.

I think it's a hoax. If I was one of the last ones on earth, I would teach myself how to sky dive.

There are many theories about 2012 some true, some false. The only one I believe is this: Scientists say that the sun has radiation building up and it will be released on December 21, 2012 and it will wipe out all life as we know it.

That would be scary. I think I'd end up dying from starvation or something! They did say that the Mayan calendar says the world will in end 2012 in September sometime.

Dan, I think that there will not be biological hazzards that will wipe out the earths population plus in the Bible it states that armageddon will be a long time from now. Also the movie 2012 depicts the fictional aspect of the worlds end. A meteor could never take out the earth. But still I am into sci fi so it looks good and maybe there will be a problem like this. I just think that it won't come soon, maybe in the next billion years or so. It would be cool if aliens took over the earth and a human resistance stood up against them.

Ok, right now, this is not only my opinion, but fact. Have you even seen what the mayan calendar is? Even the Mayans themselves say that the world is not going to end. The end of the calendar to them means change and peace. Also, the Bible says nothing about that! Where did you get it from, because it does not say that the world is going to end. It says that Jesus will come back to take us to heaven, but he's going to make a NEW world for us so we can live happily. The world is NOT GOING TO END.

Hey personally I would LOVE that. Have you seen the moive I am Legend? Imagine you go to subway NO PAYING!  You could do any thing that you want and even better there are no evil zombies chasing you around at night. So I would love that to happen unless of course I was not 1/6 of the living people. Then I wouldn't like it . The thing about that is that you never know if you are going to be 1 of the 1/6. Bye.

I think that it won’t happen; think of this how many times have people said the world is going to end.... But then I have my doubts, but if I were the one of the last people on earth I would be terrified. I don’t know what I would do.

Well, Dan I dont know about a biological hazard, but I know of a danger from outer space.

There is a pair of bionary stars( locked together by gravity ), one of which is suppost to go SUPER NOVA sometime within the next ten years.

This star is scientificly proven to have the ability to send a massive gamma ray burst directed at Earth, destroying not only the O-Zone layer, but life as we 

know it. As for survivors, there would be none. Thank you for your questions.

Hello I'm Brittany and I think that the world will not come to an end in 2012 . But the bible does say that it will. I believe in God but I just think that we changed that it will come to an end, but I dont know I could be wrong.

I believe that the "2012" conspiracy is a hoax and heres why I beleive it:

No one knows when it will end.

It could end when I'm done with this post, it could end in 2000 years.

No one knows when. There's also signs of the apoclypse and I havent seen them. Heck! on Yahoo! about a week ago I saw a headline entitled "2012: A Hoax gone too far?"

If I was the last human on earth, I would just live it out. Nothing special.

I'm not sure if the world is going to end in 2012.  I've heard that it is from tv shows on the History Channel from expirienced scientists.  I think everybody will agree with this....... I WANT TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!

The world could end any day in many ways. If someone were to start a nuclear war we could all die this year! The Mayans were a very smart culture who believed the world will not go on past 2012. But I do not believe the world will end in 2012, that is too early. The world will some day end but I do not believe it will be as early as 2012.
