I play hockey too. I also have been in a fight too. I beleive that this does come from anger also. What started the fight, was that I got cross checked and you probably can imagine what I felt. But even though hockey is a really big contact sport it's still my favorite sport.

I think hockey isn't so tough because you have so many pads on. But in football, people get hurt lots more.

Hockey should not be able to be a sport. All it is is soccer on ice with sticks and pucks.

Hockey isn't violent. Those guys in the NHL are big and strong. They bash each other but as we become their size we don't really get hurt that much. Fights are an other thing you can really get hurt but you don't have to fight.

I also play hockey. I don't think it's a bad thing that hockey players fight. My favorite part of hockey is the aggressivness. But most of us don't play to go and kill people on the ice. And yes, hockey is losing its respect.

Hockey has had fighting forever. I think it's better than wrestling because this time they're getting anger out. I'm from America and the one fight I remember the most is when Alexander Ovechkin and Sydney Crosby fought in the playoffs last year. It was great and it's a way to express yourself. I don't see anything wrong with it because they do get penalized for it.

Without any fighting in hockey it wouldn't even be a sport. Unlike every other sport, hockey is awesome and allows fighting because it's showing that hockey players are tough. They could take on anyone and I'm saying this because I'm a hockey player.

I know what you mean because I watch a lot of hockey. I think Peewee hockey should be rough because that can be hard to watch. I watched Peewee hockey and there was a lot of hits and bloody noses.
