Re: looking for Engish speaking students

I am a college student and I am in a teacher education program.  We are doing a project to try to collaborate with classrooms in other countries.  You and your class should view our Ning page to check out projects we have completed and you may even get some students that would be interested in emailing back and forth!

Write back and let me know if you need anything!

    Here is our page http://diversityandeducation.ning.com/

    Hello Daniella,

Are you still interested in exchanging mails with Spanish students?

Please let me know about it, we can start with the mails in November. I've got about 30 students who would be delighted.

    Thanks again,

    Pilar

Re: looking for Engish speaking students

    Hello Pilar,

I am definitely interested as I teach students who are in your same age range and need to work on their writing skills. I teach in the U.S.A., California to be exact. How many students do you have? I have about 25 that I'm looking to participate; however, I can decrease or increase that amount depending on your numbers. Please let me know if you're interested.

    Thanks!

Re: looking for Engish speaking students

    Hi Judy:

Did you find a class to work with, yet?  My students are learning Spanish in Maine, and we are reading Pobre Ana.  It's a short book about a girl from CA, who studies Spanish and lives in Mexico for a short time.  If your students could correspond in Spanish to my students and include that Mexican-American, West Coast cultural component...I think that would be fantastic! My students are at Level 1.

    My email address is: rachelml@epals.com

Let me know what you think,

    Rachel

Re: looking for Engish speaking students

    Hi Laurel,

I teach 9th grade in California.  We are looking for other classes to communicate with on a variety of topics.  My students are 1st generation Mexican-Americans, and, although I don't speak Spanish, I think they would enjoy communicating in Spanish with your students.  They could share a lot about the Mexican-American culture.

We already have a blog, and if you're interested in joining us, I can get you started.

    Hope to hear from you,

    Judy P.

    Hi,

I teach students from ages 14-18.  They would love to exchange e-mails to practice their Spanish and learn about Valencia.  We live in Michigan, in the midwest United States.  Have you been matched yet or would you be interested in communicating with my classroom?

    Thanks,

    Laurel
