Global warming is terrible but I disagree with you on your one point "is government only responsible for green house effect".  Are we not included in it?

Re: Global Warming: Do You See it Happening Where You Live?

Hi. I'm Karen and I live in the United Arab Emirates. Yes, I agree with you. Global Warming is horrible and detroys the Earth! The government should do something about all this global warming!

Where I live there are huge pollution problems and lots of things are going wrong here! The people here don't recycle much but some do, people also use a lot of water so it's all causing global warming. We are wasting too much water and we are not recycling plastic, glass and paper! We all need to change and need to stop global warming!! I will try my best to help and please, you can help and we all know that. We have to help our world and make it a better place to live in rather than destroying it. If we don't help then we won't be able to live, and if we live we need to make it a better place to live so we can enjoy our lives! Please help!

Thanks for using your time reading this letter and with your help we will save the world.

    Hope you all help!

    Thanks :)

Re: Global Warming: Do You See it Happening Where You Live?

Howdy. My name is Arlise and I live in the UAE which is short for the United Arab Emirates. I am agree with Nethmi because the global warming is so bad that it is becoming worse and worse and soon Earth won't be here if we continue like this. The government must do something about it.

Here in the UAE people are just too lazy to recycle and throw it on the floor. They do not recycle at all but some do and that is good because if we recycle more then we don't need factories. Factories are also the problem because they kill plants and make it all sandy like here in the UAE.  It is so disgusting. So please can all of you start recycling plastic, glass, etc. We are also using too much water and soon there will be no clean water left. When I first came here I was still very young and it was a fabulous country and it still is, it is just more global warming started happening and not much recycling has happened and we need recycling. So help earth become green again and we all have our parts in recycling.

Hope you all help our Earth

Thank you for your time in reading this

Hi Nethmi. I know what you mean. Also, sometimes in the UAE people leave their cars on when they're picking someone up. It's dumb!

Hi. I'm Mareva and I live in the United Arab Emirates. Yes, I agree with Nethmi and others. Global Warming is terribile and ruins the Earth! The government should do something about global warming!

In the UAE there are pollution issues and all types of things going on! The people here don't recycle but some do. Now it's all causing global warming. We are wasting too much water and we are not recycling anything! I usually try to recycle as much as I can and I encourage my friends to do too. We have to help our world and make it a better place to live in rather than destroying it. When I first arrived in the UAE it was just a little city and now we have lots of malls and there is more and more global warming going on here than before!

Thank you, hope you all help the environment.

No offense to United Arab Emirates, but all of the local people throw their garbage out of the window although there are lots of recycling bins in all of the city. Maybe a thousand of them. Especially the fuel factories, they cause so much pollution. Maybe the whole world will be under water in a nick of time!!

You are right, nowadays carbon dioxide qwantity is increasing day by day, but according to my views not only government but we also somewhere are involved in it. We too never miss fireworks in celebrations so we also equally responsible for global warming.

Re: Global Warming: Do You See it Happening Where You Live?

Hey Lachlan! I'm Aarushi from India. I agree with you. Global warming is increasing day by day.

The effects of global warming on the Indian subcontinent vary from the submergence of low-lying islands and coastal lands to the melting of glaciers  in the Indian Himalayas, threatening the volumetric flow rate of many of the most important rivers of India and South Asia. In India, such effects are projected to impact millions of lives. As a result of ongoing climate change, the climate of India has become increasingly volatile over the past several decades; this trend is expected to continue.

Elevated carbon dioxide emissions from industries, factories, vehicles etc. have contributed to the greenhouse effect, causing warmer weather that lasted long after the atmospheric shroud of dust and aerosols had cleared.

    Hey Lachlan!

I'm Sreenidhi from India and you're quite right. Actually the earth's getting heated up day by day. Proofs for the global warming effects in my country? Well, our subcontinent's glaciers are melting up and in fact some hill stations are not at all being visited by the people! Just because the ice over there can melt anytime and become a freezing cold water body. The ice covering the famous Himalayas has also started melting.

    Re: Global Warming

We agree with you Priya P, Global Warming is definitely real. You can even see it happening in the enviornment. Where we live in New Jersey, we are getting less snow each winter, and more humidity each summer. The polar bears are also getting effected by this. Ice caps are melting, and without ice, they can't survive. If they become extinct, it will effect us. When we have kids, they may not even know what polar bears are.

    Re: Global Warming

Obviously, humans aren't doing the right thing to Earth. They have polluted the place they are actually LIVING on! Everybody can make a diffrence, from kids to tweens to teens and above. In our school we have a recycling bin. If someone ever says "I'm too young or old" you'll know he/she is to lazy. People could ask their school, maybe even their mayor to reduce global warming. So many animals are dying or losing their habitat. If you're reading this, please help and consider global warming.

Re: Global Warming: Do You See it Happening Where You Live?

I do agree that the earth is heating.  I believe that global warming is real but it is sometimes hard to decide for myself what I believe is actually causing it.  I think that humans have a huge impact on the climate changes going on around the world and that there are things we can do to stop it.  I also believe that these changes are just a natural part of the earth's process and there is only so much we can do.  I think global warming is due to human and natural factors.
