    Re: Exchanging Chirstmas e-mail cards

    Hello Ryoko,

I have just read about your idea of writing e-mail Christmas cards. Even though your idea is last year's I think we could do it just the same this year if you like.

I'm an English teacher in Cologne, Germany, and I have students of different ages. The most interested ones seem to be the older ones, 15-17 years old. But also the others could take part. They are 12-13 years old and have learned English for 4 years now.

Please tell me if you are still interested.

    Regards

    Sabine

Hi, Are you doing the Christmas card e-mail exchange this year?  My students would like to participate.  We would also like the DVD of Japanese cooking.  My family hosted a Japanese student in March and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  We cried when she left!  I tell my students all the time how wonderful it is to get to know students from other cultures.  Just let me know if you are continuing this year and if so, how you want us to start.  Bettye

    Hello Ryoko,

Am I too late to get in on sending Christmas cards? My class has 16 kids, but we have 61 in our grade. We are around 8 and 9 years old. We are a private African-American school in an urban area.

    Re: Exchanging Chirstmas e-mail cards

    Hi Ryoko and Lynn

My name is Helena Roy. I am the English teacher of 2 groups Year 5 and 6, who are 10-12 years old and a number of 45 pupils altogether.

Last year we designed a project to share some mail, and later on, some other aspects (a song, a recipe, a traditional game,...) of our region, Catalonia, where the city of Barcelona is circumscribed.  I am looking for a school to share this experience. Obviously, it is something it has to be re-designed by the schools participating in the project and to me, an exchange between an American, a Japanese and a Spanish school could be VERY interesting.

I give you my e-mail address just in case the age and the number of pupils matches. I could also do it with just only one group (22/24).I'd love to hear from you.

    Hello Ryoko:

I am a teacher of students 10-12 years of age in Falls Church, Virginia.  How old are your students?

If they are similar in age, perhaps we can work something out for next year!

    Thank you,

    Lynn Varshneya
