    Hello

The name is John and I am a Technology Facilitator at a middle school in Pembroke, NC.  I would like to see what kinds of projects I could introduce to my teachers for their students.  So if there is anything that I can do to be part of this experiment please let me know.

    Re: Weather Watch

    Jim,

I am a music teacher from the U.S. and am interested in your weather project, as well as how your country deals with several issues. I am posting several questions for you to answer, if you will.

How do you determine what is taught in your classroom? Are there are topics that cannot be taught for political or social reasons?

What resources are provided for public schools? What technology is available, and what about filters and other devices that protect children from Internet pornography?

What holidays and leisure events are celebrated or recognized in the schools? What are your cultural characteristics?

As far as weather goes, in my state of North Carolina we experience tornadoes, hurricanes, snow, and everything in between. What kind of severe weather do you have?

    My thanks to your response,

    Phil

    Re: Weather Watch

    Marcos,

I read your reply to Erin, and my name is Phil. I am a music teacher from North Carolina, a state in the United States. You wrote to Erin that you knew a little about Canada. I would like to ask you some questions about education in Sao Paulo. Your answers are appreciated. Here are a few questions:

    1. Do you have a curriculum at your school; in other words, do you have an outline of what you need to teach?

    2. Are there subjects you cannot teach, because of social or political reasons?

    3. What kind of computers and technology do you have? Do you have ways to keep students from viewing pornopgraphy?

    4. What kind of holidays do you celebrate?

    5. How are tests given at your school?

Thanks for all of your help,

    Phil
