Re: How do you celebrate each part of your cultural heritage?

I celebrate Christmas with my family. We love to have family bonfires and barbeques. We celebrate the Fourth of July. Thanksgiving and Easter are big holidays we celebrate together. Another part of my family cultural heritage is spending as much time as possible with family and friends.

    Hi friends

Your answers are so funny, you made me laugh till crying. You know eating asian food is a real means for celebrating your cultural heritage. I think that Celebrating ones cultural heritage can be in many simple things we do everyday including: respecting our mother language and feeling proud while talking it, working hard to make people know the history of our ancesstors and things like that. For me as an Egyptian, I work hard to know more about the ancient Egyptian civilization while searching for more information about that i found

We have family reunions.  My family is Mexican. We live in Missouri.  We have all our family here. We have BBQ on the weekends.  I have a lot of friends. They are all different culture. That is what I deal with racism.

In my family we have family reunions and we have fish frys and family bbq's. A fish fry is when a couple of family members get together and we eat fish , spagheti, and french fries. It is all pretty good too. At family bbq's we eat bbq and a lot of different other culturals eat bbq.

Re: How do you celebrate each part of your cultural heritage?

I’m from America and my ancestors are all mostly white, they were from different parts of Europe but my Great Grandmother was full Cherokee Indian. My family is Christian and we go to Christian churches to celebrate our religion. We celebrate holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to celebrate our ancestors and our religion. It’s a big thing for our family to get together any way we can to see each other over the holidays and celebrate. If it’s hard to see everyone on the actual holidays we see each other as soon as possible to celebrate the holidays. We don’t really have any traditions but on Thanksgiving we make a turkey and we all bring a food, and on Christmas we open presents next to the tree that my grandmother decorates. We all have a tree at our own homes but we meet at my grandmothers for the holidays.

Re: How do you celebrate each part of your cultural heritage?

I celebrate each part of my culture heritage by celebrating Valentine’s Day by handing out valentines to people, St. Patrick’s Day by wearing beads and lots of green, my birthday by eating ice cream and cake and opening presents, Christmas by opening presents and going out to dinner on Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving by eating lots of food and especially turkey, Easter by finding some eggs and eating candy, Halloween by going trick or treating and eating lots of candy, New Years by lighting fireworks and shooting a gun, and Fourth of July by going to a fireworks show.

Re: How do you celebrate each part of your cultural heritage?

My family is full Asian; both my parents were born in Vietnam. My family doesn’t celebrate a lot of holidays… We don’t celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Valentines Day. Even though we don't celebrate many holidays we share the holidays together. Like my dad says that less is better because you appreciate it more. We have had hard times, but still during holidays we forget about our problems and have fun.
