    Re: Natural Disaster Preparedness

They could research or find someone who knows about all the natural disasters, or the disasters just in your area. I live in Kansas and the only thing I have to be scared about is tornadoes. I know how to prepare. Here are some things that I know. Things that you can use: a bag or a container that has food, clothes, flashlights, water, cell phone, radio, etc. Places you can go: a basement, bathroom or a closet in the middle of your house or not near windows. If you go into the bathroom, get in your bathtub. If you are driving, pull over and get out of your car and find the nearest building or if you are not near a building find a ditch and put your kids on bottom and the heaviest adult on top. Put your hands on your neck, so that if something comes out of the tornado it won't hurt your neck.

    Natural Disaster Preparedness

What are the best ways to teach and prepare people for natural disasters? What can you do to protect yourself or your property from a natural disaster?
