I also teach an honors American Lit. class.  We would love to collaborate with your class and do a book discussion and project.  Do you want to plan for Dec.  It seems as though we miss quite a bit of school during Jan. because of snow.  We are in Kentucky.

Are you planning on teaching Gatsby in December or were you responding to the earlier posts?  Please email me if you are interested in planning something for January.

I have two classes of honors American literature classes who will be working on The Great Gatsby right around that time.  We are located in northeastern PA.

Hello to everyone,

I teach two sections of a team taught American history and literature class.  My students are honors level juniors.  We are on block scheduling, but I do have these students year long.  I will be teaching The Great Gatsby in December or January.  I would love to create a book discussion.  Skype might be difficult for me because of my class size, but I could I would be interested in blogs or emailing.  I am interested inother American Lit. collaboration projects too!

I am teaching English to IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma students, and some of them will be working on The Great Gatsby.

I am therefore interested in sharing resources and materials. As the students nare final graders with exams starting in May, they may have little time for extra activities like "ePals" emailing, but maybe a few will get interested in  exchanging ideas with foreign students.

I'll be teaching one American Lit. class this fall semester.  We do block scheduling and we'd be reading Gatsby in late December or early January.  Would you be interested in connecting collaboratively?  I'll have 25 students or so at Greencastle-Antrim High School in Greencastle, PA (south-central).  I'd be interested in doing a student forum as well as a blog.  We could do Skype too or instead of the other ideas.
