Now I live in Florida, but before I lived in Argentina, which is located in South America. The school I went to had a fundraiser every April, which was when we celebrated Earth Day. For the little kids, from PK-3 to fourth grade, they could bring a costume that had to do with a natural element. They had a play.The kids from 5th to 7th had to do an essay for a contest.Then the big kids, from 8th grade to 12th, went on a field trip to a nature park for 2 weeks.

Me and my friends go to this fundraising event on Earth Day and all the donations go to preserving biodiversity and other foundations.

We are the school who have made the video being shown on the front page of ePals at the moment. We care a lot about conservation around our school. We are very lucky to have blue ducks living in rivers around us. They are an endangered species. We are helping the Department of Conservation to protect the blue ducks. The other day we went out with a DOC worker to help check the pest traps that have been put all around the rivers to catch pests of the blue duck like stoats and wild cats. All the data from the hundreds of traps comes to us at school and we put it in to our computers amd make graphs that we can then analyse. Last year we made a film about protecting the blue ducks that won an award.
