    Re: Swine Flu

Hey my name is Haley. I live in Iowa. We have had only 19 people die of Swine Flu. One child, and eighteen adults. The Iowa Department of Health has also reported more than 500 people who have been hospitalized. We have a pretty good amount of people gone from school due to the Swine Flu. Although, it is not moving around that bad anymore. We went through a time that was pretty bad, and we had it going around pretty rapidly, but now it is settled, and we have flu shots going around the town.

Hi, I'm Dillon from Janesville WI. I ,again, agree with Kelly because swine flu isn't spreading around here yet. But people have stopped calling it swine flu because people have stopped buying some kinds of meat. BYE.

    Re: Swine Flu

Kelly, I completely agree with you.  Did you know that you are acutally more likely to die of the regular flu than the Swine Flu.  You are also right about the media blowing all of this stuff about the Swine Flu out of proportion.  And most of the people who died from this particular disease already had something wrong with them.

    Re: Swine Flu

That's true. The people who gave the numbers of the amount of people who died

from it over estimated by 2,000,000 percent. So really its not that different from the flu. People should stop over reacting.

    Re: Swine Flu

Hello Kelly. I live on a smalll island known as Key Biscayne and swine flu has been very popular. I even got it! it is the worst flu you can ever get. We need to keep the world cleaner and be more sanitary.

    Re: Swine Flu

I agree with you, It is growing rapidly here too but people are getting vaccinated now. It's not like it's going to last forever because eveyone who gets it, their body will be ammune to it and will know how  to fight off the diseases and most likely won't get it again. But I do think that some people who do have conditions where it can affect them badly then they should be conserned more. Yeah it may feel yucky when you get it but people feel yucky when they get the regular flu so I dont think there is anything to worry about. It is also very sad that the 2 year old died but when it died doctors didn't really know how to treat it like they do now because they are more alert now.

    Re: Swine Flu

I agree that the media is making a big deal about the swine flu. It really is kind of a bad thing because it is spreading more and more and plenty of people are dying. I know a few people that have had swine flu and they lived, but others are dying, and it is not a good thing. Swine flu is not as bad as the media is making it sound but it still is bad. That is my opinion on swine flu.

    Re: Swine Flu

I think not everyone gets it as bad as another person.  Some can have a really bad reaction to it and some will not.

    Re: Swine Flu

    Hey Kelly!

I actually just had swine flu last week, and really, it's NO BIG DEAL! I had a fever, and bad cough, and occasional blowing my nose/sneezing. But I did have a very mild case, and some cases can grow and become very very serious, so it can be a big deal, and it might be like the regular flu. One more thing that's making me really angry is because the only reason it's spreading like wild fire is because people who are experiencing symptoms don't stay home and spread it on. If you ever ever ever come across even 1 of the symptoms stay home!!! Trust me you will feel so relieved that you stayed home. And, stay home all week! Your contagious for at least 7 days, even if your feeling better. STOP THE SPREAD OF GERMS!!!!!

    Re: Swine Flu

Swine flu is just another scam the media made up. They want us to go out and buy stuff we dont need. Dont worry about it.
