Hi,I am Joshua.  I think that you should add humpback whales to your project, and you could help them by trying to stop illegal hunters from hunting the endangered animals for their fur or for the food they get from these animals.

Hello, my name is Debra. You should do something for the humpback whales, like just do a project about pullution.

I have to agree because I know almost all turtle types and that was one of them I had never heard of, so they must be endangered.

I think people should listen more to animals and like the ones that don't have homes.

Hi my name is Gabrielle. One endangered animal that lives in or near water that I know about is the takahe. It is a bird that lives near water in New Zealand.

Thanks for the post! That's the  problem, people don't  know about animals that much, and they don't really care about them. If you find out anything else, please post something and I'll check it out!

I think leatherback turtles are endangered.  The have information about the turtles here on ePals in the biodiversity focus area.

    Re: Endangered Animals in Water

I have some ideas for ways that you can help the endangered animals, like the manatee.  People can set up sanctuary areas that are just for the manatee.  People will not be allowed to bring in boats or jet skis that can damage the habitat or hurt the animal with their propellers.  Another idea is to have "eco-tours" where you set up a way for people to visit the animals and habitats.  The money that is raised could be used to help the animals.  If people know more about the animals they might not want to hunt them or harm them.

I'm not sure what other water animals are endangered but you could probably get that information at your school library or on your computer.

    Endangered Animals in Water

We are doing our 5th grade exhibition about water. I'm in a group with 3 other people and we were wondering if you could help us with these questions about endangered animals: What other water animals are endangered? We already have polar bears, penguins, manatees, and dolphins. How can we help the  animals from Global Warming? We really want to help the animals, so we need ideas!
