Re: Using "Moodle" in the Classroom

    Hi Jutka,

I am a high school biology teacher in New York, USA.  I am currently taking a moodle course.  The course just began a few days ago, so I cannot give you any insight yet.  However, I will check back in a few weeks and update you on what I have learned and what I think of it compared to wikispaces or googlepages.  Feel free to contact me!

    Using "Moodle" in the Classroom

    Hello,

I am Jutka, a teacher in Hong Kong.

I  would like to know how many of you use "Moodle" in your schools and for your lessons. The school is setting up a new Moodle as its primary tool in the school and I want to know how to use it, any tips and tricks, as well as how do students react and use it. So far, I find it very cumbersome. I have been using Wikispaces, which I find to be organic and intuitive. I can change things and add things right in front of the students without panicking that I might upload or delete the wrong thing. Basically, you can create (make it up) a wiki as you go along. It takes a lot more PLANNING to set up a course using the moodle. Thanks for any help you can give!
