    Hi, I’m Kadir YILMAZ.

From Turkey, we are a primary school and we are about 780 pupils,750 students and 30 teachers. Our students learn English as foreign language and they like it much.So we decided to communicate with people who are from different countries to use our language. We would like to know more about other cultures, want to show our hospitality.

We are in AYDIN city, it is near BODRUM, MARMARİS, FETHİYE, KUŞADASI, EFES, SELCUK, DIDIM cities. You can serach them with search engine, lots of tourists come to see these cities every year. I hope you have chance to see these cities and know more about our culture.

We are ready to participate in all Comenius Projects, we are ready for having responsibility.I attached a document about us.İf you have a time, please have a look.

    Re: E.U project

    Hello Isabelle,

I am an English teacher from Turkey. I work at a prestigious and a central school with about 1800 students and 70 teachers. We plan to do a Comenius Project for the next term. We have some project idea. If interested we can work together and create a project. We are open to new project idea, I have some contacts in Italy and Romania for the project idea. We need some more partners to apply for the project.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

    Re: E.U project

Hello, Isabelle! I've just read your email from this fantastic tool that is epals. I'm an English teacher at a secondary school in Spain, in the south (Almería). I teach 12 to 16 year olds, although ut's soon to know it because I'm on vacation until 17th, September, and then I willhave to choose the levels I'm going to teach next year. The English teacher team is made up of 4 components, and we have the possibility of choosing the school levels we want to teach, so that I won't know it until September. Nevertheless, your idea is fantastic since my students think that English is necessary to talk to exclusively native English speakers. It's important that they understand the importance of English as members of the EU, because this language is the first or second language in many countries apart from the UK. The children at my school are learning both English and French, as a Foreign language or second language, it depends. So, I would be eager to communicate with you again by September, if you don't mind.

    Have great holidays, too!

    Lourdes

    E.U project

    Hello everybody !

We are a secondary school next to Nantes in France., about 400 kms west of Paris. We teach 11 to 15 year olds. This year, the teacher team of 4ème (they are 13-14) has decided to work on the EU and have them create a file about one country belonging to the EU : they will include history, geography, music , arts and as an English teacher, I was hoping they could include contacts with inhabitants from the countries.

So I'm looking for colleagues from the EU that would accept to exchange with a class of the same age range : we could exchange postcards, inforamtion about our countries. What do you think ???

I'd like to have everything settled and ready to start by September (we begin class on 2nd Sept. 2009) so get in touch directly :

    rossidavid@epals.com

    Have great holidays

    ISabelle
