    Re: How do tsunamis form?

A tsunami is formed from the quick movements in the ocean which causes big waves in the ocean. That can take down cities, buildings and forests.

Because of earthquakes. Also, too much rain falls and I think the water level rises.

Well Libby, my name's Taylor and yes they can form in the US along the sides.   You just have to have a big enough tropical storm in the ocean and there has to be a long way to travel for it to get huge.

    How do tsunamis form?

Hi. I'm Libby, from the United States. I was wondering what a tsunami was like. I've never seen one or heard of one. I would really like to know what they do and how they form. Could they form over here in the US? I am willing to answer any of your questions on natural disasters here in the US, too.
