Re: What's your favorite way to hear a story?

Well, it depends who is reading it to me. If it is a teacher, I love listening to a book read by a teacher. But if it isn't a teacher, I would like to read it to myself. I really don't like a tape.

I think the best way to read is you are reading by yourself.  That's my favorite way to hear a story.

I like to read the books to myself becuase when I do I can be outside under my tree, while at the same time if I get stuck somewhere I can go back, and I can picture the characters and the setting in my head when I read.

I think the best way to hear/read a story is to read it yourself then tell your friends about it and maybe they'll read it.  I also like to listen to storys on tape. The people on the tape who are telling it use the voices they think that person sounds like.

I like to listen to people who have more excitement. I like it when they sound different for every character. I like it when they don't use run on sentences. They sound cool and have good characters. That's my favorite way to hear a story.

I like to hear a story by someone telling me the story or watching the movie!

I like reading books to myself. If people read it to me, they might not have the same expressions as me. If I don't know a word, or if it's spelled differently but pronounced differently, how am I supposed to look it up?! (in a dictionary)

    Hello,

My favourite way to hear the story is to listen to the audio books. But I should tell you that I prefer some voices to others. And some classical music as the background of the story, also is very nice.

I like reading it to myself. It makes me concentrate in the story and I can make up the place and the characters better than if I'm listening to it. It`s more magical. I can use my imagination better.

I like reading a story to myself because you can read the pace you want to, and you can make up different voices for characters in your head. Audio books are fun, but I prefer reading a real book (not that I am saying that an Audio book is not real). :)

MY favorite way to hear a story is when I'm about to fall asleep and I put a tape on.

I like it the way my sister does it: tells me the entire story, then lets me read the book myself.

Re: What's your favorite way to hear a story?

I love reading by myself. If the book is written well enough, then it's almost like the characters come to life in your head! It's kind of magical, actually. Television shows and movies can tell wonderful stories, depending on what show we're talking about, but they do have their disadvantages. For example, any television show can be replaced and seldom shared with the public again; books, however, are everlasting. It's funny, you can read books from whatever time era you want, but oftentimes there'll be television shows from only a few months ago that you probably won't be able to see unless you go so far as to look it up and watch it online.
