Re: Italian high school (Tourism and Business Studies) looking for English-speaking students

Hi there!  I teach Spanish but my students have been given this project to learn about all cultures.  I would like to allow my students the opportunity to communicate with your students especially using all of the technological suggestions you have made.  It might take us a little time to ensure the capabilities beyond simple e-mail or blogging but I will do what I have to do to ensure that they are able!

I probably don't have many that specifically study business and tourism but I will match your students with interest in those subjects if you prefer.  Our goal is just to open our minds to different cultures and ways of life.

You can reply on this site at srta.preuss@epals.com

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I am a Geography teacher in Midlothian, Illinois (south suburb of Chicago in the United States.)  I am interested working with your class.  I teach Advanced Placement Geography at Bremen High School.  I would be honored to work with you on the culture project..."The Way We Are."  I think our classes could really benefit from the interaction.  Would you be interested?

    Ciao!

Italian high school (Tourism and Business Studies) looking for English-speaking students

I'm an Italian EFL teacher in a vocational school in Bergamo, a nice historical town in Northern Italy. The core subjects in this school all relate to Tourism. I'd be very interested in finding English native speakers all over the world who learn Italian as a modern foreign language in order to set up an online intercultural exchange or language tandem project with my students (aged 14-19). English native speakers who deal with Tourism and Business studies are also welcomed for exchanges about different cultural and vocational topics.

I can offer a wikispace where students can exchange long written exchanges in personal pages or take part in a blog (see an example at http://galliefl.wikispaces.com).

It would be great if we could also have our students talk via Messenger using a webcam.

    School starts middle September.
