Hi Sergio,
My name is Smaranda, I teach English as a second language in Montreal, and I would like to start a project. In fact, I have already started it, and 9 teachers have enrolled in it, but we are still looking for some new ones. It's an intercultural x-mas card exchange. The kids make the cards. You choose one grade 4, 1 class, and ask them to make a Christmas card. If you have 20 kids, they would make 20 cards. We would like to be 20 teachers involved in this project but, if more, the better.
For instance, if we are 20, (you would be the 20th, for example) you need to make 19 cards and send to the schools involved in the project. There are a lot of schools from Canada, so you might send the cards to me, and I will mail to the schools. That way, it would not cost you (or the school, if you have a budget), too much.
You, as well, will get 20 cards from the rest of the schools and our goal is to create a wall full of such cards.
You have several options: you buy the cards, and the kids write the message, you ask your students to make them, or, you could go on www.DLTK.com and print the cards so the kids could color them. As you wish.
Each card has to have one message written, and needs to be signed by all the kids in that class.
It is a really easy project; you will get the list with the schools involved in the project, the teachers' names and the schools’ addresses. All you need to do is to pick the class and send the cards out.
Please don't hesitate to write me if you have other questions.
We would me more than happy if you joined us.
