My second grade gifted and talented students are interested in corresponding with another school about Natural Disasters. We are located in Western Kentucky on the New Madrid earthquake fault. This is one of the most active fault zones in the United States. We also experience flooding at the confluence of the Tennessee, Cumberland, and Ohio Rivers. Our most recent "natural disaster" was an ice storm that left us without electricity for three weeks last winter. Our class would love to exchange emails with you, and we are available for Skype projects as well.
