Re: Russian kids are looking for a class from the UK

    Hello Steve,

I haven't checked my forum discussions for a long time and as a result - missed your message.

You see we've already found two  partner schools in the USA and Scotland but still we'd be glad to collaborate with your school as well. We could choose some other form, for example blogging, video-conference, snail mail letters/pictures exchange etc. If you are interested write to my e-mail: YelVo@epals.com and we'll discuss the details.

    Best wishes,

    Yelena

    Hi Yelena,

I am a year 6 teacher in Liverpool, my students are also aged 10-11. We are interested in undertaking 'The Way We Are ' project and was wondering if this would be something you would be interested in doing with us. We would be extremely excited at exchanging information about our cultures.

If you are interested I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best wishes,

     Steve

Re: Russian kids are looking for a class from the UK

    Hello Jody,

You see, we already have three partner schools. I'm afraid my students won't be able to write more letters though having e-mail project with your school looks rather interesting. I can ask my other pupils if they are interested. They don't attend my Club but I teach them English as well. Are your students about 13 years old?

    Best wishes,

    Yelena

Re: Russian kids are looking for a class from the UK

    Hello Yelena,

I teach 8th-grade English Language Arts and Social Studies in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.  Five of my students just finished a research project on Russia.  Would any of your students be interested in corresponding with my students?  Our culture is very similar since it has it's roots in the UK, but we like hockey...<grin>

Let me know if this idea appeals to you.

    Hello Marina,

Thank you for your answer but we already have a partner class in the USA. But it would be nice to keep in touch if you want. As far as I understand you come from Russia, don't you?

    Best wishes,

    Yelena

    Hello Yelena,

Would you also be interested in learning about the United States? I have a class of ESL students from different countries. It might be interesting and benificial for both of us.

    I also speak Russian.

Russian kids are looking for a class from the UK

    Hello!

My name is Yelena. I'm a teacher of English from Russia. Our school is located in a very beautiful and ancient town Ryazan. It's not far from Moscow. My students  (aged 10-11 ) have been studying English for four years. This year we learn about Great Britain. But reading texts and even watching movies are not enough to see all the beauty and diversity of this country. We can also tell you about our country, town and our school.

We're able to exchange e-mails once a week or two.  It would be also interesting to use snail mail in order to exchange pictures, cards etc. Is there anybody interested? My e-mail: YelVo@epals.com

    Best wishes,

    Yelena
