Wonderful!  I just read your email to my class and they are very excited.   How many students do you have?  We are pretty new at ePals so you may have to help me with the virtual field trip and podcasts. 

My kids have been through rebuilding after the hurricane.  I think most of them left for the storm but they all know stories of those who stayed.  I'm sure they have parents and grandparents who have experienced Camille and Betsy (two other devastating storms in this area).

Hi,

We are a fifth grade class of 28 (10 - 11 year olds) who live near the New Orleans area.   We have experienced Hurricane Katrina and would like to share with other students who have experienced earthquakes. Living in south Louisiana, earthquakes are very foreign to us.
