Re: Collaborative short story writing circle

    Hello Inayath,

I am the enrichment teacher for our school in Shrewsbury, NJ, USA, and am assigned to a group of Gifted and Talented students.  I have 4 students who are interested in participating in your collaborative story writing circle.  They would work as one writing group rather than individually.  Can we participate?

    Thanks,

    ~~  Sallyann Jauch

    Inayath,

This sounds like a great project.  My 5th grade class is based in New Jersey, USA.  We would enjoy being a part of this project.  Let us know the next steps.

    Thanks,

    Adam Ramsden

    Collaborative short story writing circle

The grade 5s at The International School of Dhaka www.isdbd.org are embarking on an ambitious project. We are looking for schools in other parts of the world that may be interested in a collaborative short story writing circle to as the title suggests write some short stories. The way it works is very simple: working individually or in groups the children in the first school write the first part of the story. This is then emailed to the second school who write the middle. This school then emails it to the next one where the ending is written. Interested? Please email me the grade 5 teacher at inayathmohamed@epals.com and we'll get the ball rolling.

The only condition is that each segment contain a character or icon representative of the local culture/country.

    Thanks,

    Inayath Mohamed
