    Re: Project Peace

    Hi, Angela,

What an interesting project you are undertaking with your family! I have two children: 8y old girl and 13y boy. We are originally from America (Chicago) but have lived in Ireland the last two years. We travel back home twice a year. My children are getting a first hand view of cultural diversity as well as an appreciation of the differences in views of even the same sort of thing.. like religion. Being Catholic in America is so different from being Catholic in Ireland. If you'd like to chat, feel free to write to me at lcamposmoya@epals.com.

    Cheers,

    Leila

    Project Peace

I am a homeschooling mother in Marion, Texas, USA. Currently I am working on a project with my children that I call Peace. We are learning about cultural diversity in a variety of ways which include visiting different temples and learning from their religious leaders. I believe one of the first step in peaceful thinking is an appreciation for diverse cultures and beliefs.
My children are Grant age 12, Raven age 8, and Antoinette age 14. We would like to communicate via epals, email, or video conference. Due to our flexible home school schedule we can communicate at your convenience during your classroom hours if you prefer. Preferably we would like to communicate with those outside of the USA.

I tried several times to respond to an orphanage in Rwanda, but my response would not go through. Anyone know why this is happening?
