Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Wow your life must be hectic there.  My school starts at 8:20 and ends at 3:35.  I have dance class afterwards Monday through Thursday.  "good students" here means the same thing.  Although we know everyones' names at the end of the semester.  I go to a very small school.

Wow, you guys have to get up really early for school, I get up at 6:30 and go to school at 8:20. My favorite hobbies are horseback riding, and drawing. My favorite sport is volley ball and I think that I am going to have to play basket ball for my school to have a team. I mean I don't want to cause the rest of the girls to not be able to play just because I didn't want to play. Any way I hope that you do good in your studies and don't get too stressed out.

Wow, your school hours are entirely different from ones I am used to. I awake at 6:50 in the morning and start school at 8:00. Also, you will probably find most Americans very open-minded and we usually are willing for change. It is amazing how different some cultures can be!

For my free time I play american football. I'm on a baseball team, and on the traveling basketball team. I love hockey. I love the Bruins. I like seeing them play the Montreal Canadians because they are their rivals.

For my free time I like to listen to music a lot and the good students get on my nerves too. I like to play basketball and they have a team, I just didn't make the team. I have to wake up 5:00 too but just because my sister has to wake up that early. I have 4 classes but one is a block period except I don't have school on Saturday or Sunday. School starts at 8:00 and ends at 4:00 and we have Saturday and Sunday off.

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Thanks for your reply. I've just finished my final exam. It was so tiring~!

We`ll continue to have exams the next three days, so most of my classmates are preparing for it. But I`ll never do that. I don`t think it`s useful to study for a test which will come the next day, what`s your opinion?

Many of my classmates don`t understand me because I don`t really study as hard as them, but I get high marks.:) I don`t know why. Maybe I`m not under so much pressure as they are. In fact, I`m not an organized student in my friends eyes, they just think I`ve always have so many strange ideas! Sometimes I get my math teacher greatly surprised, "how can you think of that?" However, she doesn`t like me, as I don`t get as high marks as the top students.

It`s true that we have classes on weekends. It`s for our bright future. Our teacher told us. If we want to live a better life, we must study really, really hard. How about things in America?

    Please reply soon. Thanks.

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Wow.. You get up really early.  I live in FL, and I get up around.. 8:00 AM.  And that's early for me.

My sport is Baseball.. But everybody thinks that girls can't play.. But, whatever.

A 'good student' here, is somebody that has good grades.. and never really gets into trouble.

My favorite subject is English.. My least favorite is Math (I'm horrible at it).

I take the bus in the morning, and sometimes in the afternoon.  Some afternoons I go to my best friends house, and I walk home with her.

We only go to school Monday through Friday, which is good because it gives us free time on the weekends to hang out with our friends and do sports and whatnots.

I sort of like my life, but.. Everything has it's up and down, you know?

I love music too. What I want to know is what is Detective Conan? I like soccer but not basketball. In my free time I usually read or draw. In America they focus on the grades too. You really get up at 5 in the morning? I usually get up at 7 to catch the bus at 8:30. You are lucky, we have seven classes from 9:15 to 3:55. We have Wednesdays as short days and we don't have school on Saturday or Sunday. I like my lifestyle because I usually have time for me and my studies.

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Hello I'm American and I'd like to share my lifestyle to people all over the world,

I like to listen to music for my free time, almost everyday I love watching "Everybody Hates Chris", I was very interested every since the 3rd grade. My favorite sport is football, but our school doesn't have a football team yet. What do you for your free time people from around the world?

I make mostly good grades but I'm not perfect . I usually awake at 7 am and my bus picks me up at 8:30. Class starts at 9:15 am. What's your attitude towards your lifestyle?

I hope we can communicate and know more about our different lifestyles. It can really be helpful.

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Hi, I'm American and I think your lifestyle and hobbies are very interesting. I think China would be a very fun place to go to, It would be very fun to be almost a day ahead in time.

I also like to listen to music whenever I can. Some of my favorite singers are Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson. I don't think I have ever heard of a show called Detective Conan, but it would be very interesting to watch it. My favorite sport to do would probably be swimming but only in summer of course.

A good student in my school would probably be some who gets A's in all of their seven classes. These people will mostly get made fun and called a "nerd" or something like that.

I can't believe you have to get up at 5:50 in the morning, the earliest I get up is 8:00 in the morning. I don't get to my bus stop till around 8:40 and the bus comes five minutes later. School doesn't officially start till 9:15 and the tardy bell rings at 9:20. You have school on the weekend! I just can't believe it! Sunday and Saturday are the only days I can get school out of my head.

I hope you reply to me soon.

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Hello Jordan, I'm glad to answer your questions.

Yeah we have  technology opportunities, but we don`t really work hard on it because we don`t have the test. I`ve never been to the US,but I expect so. I love your culture and lifestyle! I think I`m a bit out of style, at least my friends said I was. It`s just because I`m not interested in stars! I don`t like to dress up myself, but my mom likes, so I sometimes make my friends surprised. "You look so cool! Why don`t you do this very often?"

I want to be a clothing designer when I grow up so I`m looking forward to studying something about it in France. I study English at school so I can speak English, but not very well.

Here many people celebrate Christmas and I`m one of them.Thank you. Oh, I`ve just seen the movie Twilight. It`s brilliant! I like this kind of story very much!

Re: Hobbies, culture and lifestyle in China and around the world

Hi, I am American and have never left this country but would love to. I have always been interested in other cultures so this is a great thing for me. Well, where should I start. We have school only five days a week, so there is no school on Saturdays and Sundays. My favorite sport is track and field. I love to run and stuff like that. I also like to write poetry and short stories. My favorite subject is probably Math. Yes I am kinda a nerd at times. I also LOVE to read and could for hours if I could. My favorite food is chicken. I go to church every Sunday and am a Christian. I usually wake up on a school day at 6:15 and school starts at 8:30. Then school is over at 3:15 and don't get home til 4:30. On Wednesdays I go to church after school. So enough about me. I have so many questions for you know. Do you have technology opportunities? Whats it like to be in a place as beautiful as China? Have you ever been to the United States before? Are you into fashion? What do you want to be when you grow up? I want either get into Criminal Justice, Veterinarian, or a Teacher. Do you have any sibblings? Do you speak English?

Ok well hope to hear from you soon and can't wait to learn things from someone totally different from me in a way! Oh and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Wait do you celebrate christmas? Sorry if you don't.

I love to listen to music too. It is my favorite thing. I don't really like basketball but I do like soccer. In my free time I like to read and draw. I think that books are like TV with much more detail. It must be annoying to have no friends at school. I always have more than 10 friends. I really like my life style, it is  good.
