Re: French students looking for partners living near a volcano

HI! I´m form Argentina. I teach at a university centre which is also open to teenagers. We´ve just started working on natural disasters and we´re interested in volcano because ashes from volcano in Chile have reached our city. The only "problem" is I have only four teens in the class. They´re between 14 and 15 years old. I´d love to work together!!!

If you´re interrested please send me a mail to Carlaperforms@epals.com

    Thanks!

    Carla

    Hello Marcia,

My class of 10-11 year olds is starting a project on disasters this term and would be very interested in hearing about some of your students' experiences. I would be very grateful if they might be able to contact your students by post or email. Please let me know if you would be interested.

    Claire.

Re: French students looking for partners living near a volcano

    Marcia F....

We are a 4th grade class from Jacksonville, Fl with students ranging in age from 9-11. We just finished a unit of study on volcanoes. Some students researched Mt. St. Helen's for a podcast. We would love to SKYPE or email with some of your students. It would be awesome if they had any video of the volcanoes to share with us. We look forward to hearing from you very soon. Happy Thanksgiving!!

    Sincerely,

Mrs. Stokes' 4th grade Science Class

Re: French students looking for partners living near a volcano

    Fantastic Marcia,
We have introduced our topic 'Earthquakes & Volcanoes' and I am in the process of setting up the students email accounts. I have 2 Grade 3 classes 22 students in each (8-9yr olds) we would be looking to pair these students up with a partner from your school to start exchanging emails which will hopefully lead to picture and skype exchange. My ePals email is deeblackman@epals.com

This will be our first email project, have you done an email project before? Happy for any advice!

    Kind regards,
    from an excited Donna

Re: French students looking for partners living near a volcano

    Hi Dee,

My students would be happy to share their experiences living near 3 volcanoes. One of the volcanoes, Mt. St. Helens, is an active volcano and exploded in 1980. My students are 5th and 6th graders (ages 10-12) and will start school on August 30th. We can do an e-mail, picture, and skype exchange. Let me know what you envision for your students.

    Sincerely,

    Marcia

    Hi Marcia,

We are a school in Singapore looking to email students who can share their experiences of volcanoes, via email, picture exchange and possibly skype. Would your students be interested in establishing contact with us? We are Grade 3 (8-9yr olds) and have 3 classes of 22 students. Kind regards, Dee

Re: French students looking for partners living near a volcano

If you do a project during the coming school year on volcanos, my school is located in a community in Washington State in the U.S. between three vocanos:  Mt. Ranier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. Mt. St. Helens is still active and in May of 1980 it exploded. My class would be happy to share pictures and experiences with your class. My students range in age from 10 to 12 years.
