Re: A UNESCO sponosored climate change project for beaches

I greet you. Am a part two student at the University of Zimbabwe studying BSc Animal Science. I know, you are being sponsored by UNESCO to do this project and I guess you are doing a great job to address issues degrading our beaches. The reason why I am mailing you sir/madam is if I can be of any help? Wish I was in your country to participate, but am a Zimbabwean. Is there any sponsored program that you can recommend, because I need to participate. Thank you for your time. Takudzwa C Madzivanzira (Zimbabwe)

A UNESCO sponosored climate change project for beaches

Greetings from Nevis, a small island in the Eastern Caribbean.
We are involved in a very interesting UNESCO sponsored Climate Change environmental project and are looking for partners.
It is called 'Sandwatch' and it is an environmental project for primary & high school students to adopt and study the health of their local beach and marine environment.
It requires little equipment or training and takes about an hour or so per month to do...but your school MUST be near a beach.

Please Let me know if you are interested and I will send you project details.
Currently there are Sandwatch Teams in schools in almost 50 countries worldwide working on Sandwatch!
Please look at the website www.sandwatch.org for more information.

    Best Regards,
    Paul Diamond
    Director,
    Sandwatch Foundation
