    Hi Manoshika!

Right now my students and I are on winter break, which is why I have not checked ePals as regularly, and didn't see your email!

Currently, my students are corresponding with another class, but we are hoping to expand our correspondence with other schools this follow semester, if you are still interested?

Re: 36 Grade 7 Korean students need postcard exchange

    Hi Karen!

Thank you for responding to my post.
Right now my grade 7 students are almost at the end of their school year.  We will have final exams in December, and the next time regular classes will be held will be in March (although there will be special winter classes for all students).  It is a bit late for them to write postcards, unfortunately.

However, I also teach about 30 grade 6 students, part-time, which could be better, as our students will be the same age.  I will see these students all of December and part of February.  If you are interested, my students could write to your students now, and then your students could send their reply postcards before Christmas or in January so my students would receive them in February!  How does this sound to you?

With this project, it would likely be only a one-time exchange, as in March my students will have graduated and will go to a Middle school at which I do not teach.

If you are interested, please contact me at jejudo (at) epals.com

How many students of yours will be participating in this project?
Would your students be interested in exchanging first names, so each student receives a personalized postcard (this has worked well in my last project with grade 8 students).

    Hope to hear from you!
    Best Regards,

    Kate

Hi! I teach 6th grade social studies in Allen, Texas (USA), and we would be interested in your postcard exchange.  Would you like to write back and forth throughout the year---or just once?
    Thank you,

    Karen

36 Grade 7 Korean students need postcard exchange

    Hello there,

I have 36 grade 7 students who would like to participate in a postcard exchange with students their age from a different country.  They are both boys and girls, and they are studying English as a second language.  We would like to communicate in English.  We are open to both native speakers and other ESL students.

On the postcards my students will write a little about themselves, plus a little about our local area.  Our postcards will depict various famous places on our island.   Before we start, we would like to first exchange names before writing the postcards, so my students would be writing to a specific person and not just use a general salutation.   Then we will send the postcards to your school.    In return, we would ask that the students to whom we've written a postcard, write back! :)   This way, all of our students will receive a personalized postcard of their own.

How does this sound to you?

Since we are quickly approaching the holiday season, if you have some students who would be interested in this exchange, please contact me at jejudo@epals.com   Hope to hear from you soon!

    Kate.
