    Hi:

I teach an Advanced Placement class in European History and would love to create a project analyzing or exchanging cultural information. I am open to ideas as this will be the first time I have ever done anything like this. My class is composed of 11th and 12th graders, ages 17-18.

Re: Anyone interested in communicating with an English teacher from Greece?

Hello Tasa, my name is Travis Macy, and I teach high school English at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado, USA.  My 11th graders will be reading Oedipus Rex soon, and I would love to have them exchange some blog entries with students from Greece.  We could develop approximately five questions that discuss the text and life in Greece and then allow students to answer them alone or in groups through www.macyworldlit.blogspot.com.  I'd like to get this going in about two weeks.

Do you have any interest in this or a similar project?  Do you know any other teachers in Greece who might be interested?

    Thanks,

    Travis

Hello.  I realize I am a little late on replying to your post, but did you ever find a class to collaborate with?  I teach similar classes as you in the United States in the state of Iowa.  My students range in ages 15-18 and would be willing to collaborate if you are still willing.  Let me know if you are still interested.  Thanks.

    Nathan

Re: Anyone interested in communicating with an English teacher from Greece?

    Hi Tasa!

I'm a teacher of English at Eça de Queirós School (A high school in the city of Póvoa de VArzim in the north of Portugal). This year I've got 3 classes : 2 10th grades and  1 class 11thgrade. We deal with different cultural topics like Youth problems, consumerism, technology, environment, multiculturalism, etc.. I can say my students are intermediate level. I love to share ideas with other teachers and I'd like to find some ePals for my students. I have never worked with Greek students and I think it would be a nice experience to share e-mails and even snail mail. My classes will begin tomorrow.  The ages of my pupils are about 15, 16 and 17 years old.   Are you interested in a collaborative work. It would be nice for our students to discuss all kinds of problems related with the EU, and others.

PLs say if you are interested.

My name is Maria Albertina and I teach for about 26 years. I love travelling and knowing other cultures. Congratulations for your beautiful country and your amazing culture. I hope to hear from you soon
