We are a bilingual (Spanish and English) 5th grade class outside of Dallas, TX in the USA. My 27 students are between the ages of 10-12. They all speak Spanish as their first language and have been learning English since kindergarten. We are looking for an ePal class in Spain or any Central or South American country that can also communicate in both English and Spanish.

We hope our communication serves two purposes:

1. We'd like to address our reading response journals to you and discuss the books we are reading. In turn, we'd like you to write to us your relections about the novels you are reading. Maybe our students could pair up, and from accross the globe, be reading and discussing the same novels.

2. This year we will be learning about American History. We'd like to share with you what we learn about the history of our country. In exhange, please teach us about your country's history. Together, we can compare and contrast culture, timelines, current events, government, etc.
