I don't think kids should have to worry about adult stuff but should learn a little about it. I think it is important to know about the stock market and the president and the government because at some point in your life you are going to need to know this stuf, like when you're older and have a job or are going to vote.

If we didn't understand it a little bit now, then we are in some big trouble later on. We will know nothing! So pay a little attenion to current events.

I definitely think kids should be involved in things, but maybe not things that you listed such as government, the stock market, etc.  It isn't relevant whether the president is doing something or not.

I disagree with you. I most definitely believe that kids should care about news such as the government and the preseident's decisions. I don't think we should care about stock markets because it doesn't really involve us.

I think students should care about what is going on today because later on in life it could effect them.

I agree that kids should be kids and have fun while they are still kids. They can worry about government and the president later in life. However I think you should still know what's going on in the world but don't worry about it just yet.

The things going on in the world (current events) affect us (children, teens), not just adults. One day we will have to face issues like that head-on, so we might as well learn about them now! By learning about the past and connecting it to the present we can prevent mistakes in the future. Don't you want to help the people in Japan? See who is going to be leading your country? Any of that? Current events are very important.

They should care about current events because they're a part of this world too. They're the future of the existence of this world!

I care about some things. My parents have never really made me worry about things like that.

I do have to say that there are some things that kids should care about. If something bad happens like an earthquake or torrnado, there are some places in the world that need our help.

I think we should be allowed to know what's happening. We have the right to know. And I think it's good to care about what's happening, because it'll be your problem someday.
