Re: Teacher from Argentina would like to do Maps Project

    Grace,

I teach global studies and history to middle school students, ages 12 to 16, at Mckeel Academy in Lakeland, Florida, United States.  I'm looking for a class to work on cultural exchange and global issues projects.  We have the ability to communicate using a variety of web tools.  My classes meet weekdays for 50 minutes.  If you are interested, please send me an email.

    Thanks,

    Cynthia White

I have 5 small classes of beginning Spanish students in grades 6-8.  Would love to collaborate with you if you are still looking.  We live in Hawaii.

Re: Teacher from Argentina would like to do Maps Project

    Dear Grace,

I am the library media specialist in my school, which is a 4-6 school in Litchfield, Connecticut in the United States.  The students are from the ages of 9 to 11/12.  I am intersted in pairing your students with our 6th grade students (ages 11/12) as they study the world.  The goal for the different country studies is 'How does geography impact how people live?'.  Their first country is coincindently, Argentina.  I am interested in having my students correspond with students from Argentina, exploring the geography of the areas they live in and how this impacts the way they live.  We could touch on housing, entertainment activities, types of employment, and natural resources that might impact the employment or wealth of an area. etc.  I would love to talk with you about the idea.

How many students do you have?  Our 6th grade has about 80 students, but I could pair them up so that 2 or 3 students would be writing and corresponding with your students, depending on how many students you have.

Hi, I am a 6th grade teacher in Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin, USA.  I am interested in participating in this project with you, but I am new to ePals and don't know how to go about this...

Re: Teacher from Argentina would like to do Maps Project

    Hello Grace,

I have a group of 5th grade students (last year in elementary school, 10-11 years old)  They are to study South America as part of their social studies curriculum.  I haven't read through the complete project yet but would love to partner with you if you think it might work.

Teacher from Argentina would like to do Maps Project

Hi, I am a geography teacher in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  I saw your project about maps and I'm interested to use it with my students.  Here they are in the first year of secondary school and, 13 to 15 years old, and come from a poor neighborghood so their level is below the average.  How can we share your project and interchange ideas?

    Grace
