    Hello:

    I am a geography teacher in the USA.  My classes will be discussing Islam in an upcoming class and I am hoping to find a contact from a predominantly Muslim country so that my students can learn more about the religion and how it affects life in those countries.  My students are 11-14 years old; boys and girls.  Please contact me if you are interested in working with my class.

    Thank you,

    Mike

    Hi, I am teaching English in Malaysia. I believe we teachers should write to each other, share ideas in order to improve the teaching of English in our school. In Malaysia, English is the second language, so all students learn English during their primary and secondary school years. What about in your country?

    Lori,

    I have five students, ages 16-17 who are studying world religions in a World History class.  We would like to discuss with your students as a class or individually the issues you bring up in your message about encouraging peace, acceptance and volunteering.  We are ready to communicate now.  We are in Wyoming in the U.S.

    I would like to work with you as long as the students have similar age groups. We are a religion class that is looking for ways to encourage peace, acceptance, and volunteering throughout our world. I so want to create healthy citizens that will look out for their world at this time and in their future. My students are 13-15 years old, mix of boys and girls. Please let me know if you are interested or not.

    Thanks,

    Lori

    Re: English teacher in Turkey seeking teacher ePals

    Dear Carmen;
    I would be glad to collaborate with you. We have another project ongoing with Japan for a year. Students are so excited to have foreign friends. We started with the letters first, we sent CD'S about our country and school. This year we are working on Manga Style and the students are drawing the characters and preparing a booklet by themselves. Also they continue to write letters to each other.
    If you want we can share e-mails or they can write letters to each other. Writing a letter takes more time to correspond. Maybe it will be better to share e-mails. After they meet, we can do something more than e-mailing. How many students are going to participate?
    Best

    Ferhan, I am a middle school teacher in Ohio, USA.  I teach social studies and am interested in connecting my students with other students around the world to learn about other cultures.  I have a Smartboard and have had one successful Skype experience with another school.  Would you be interested in having my 7th graders (ages 12-13) connect with your students?  I would like to try this with one class of approximately 25 students.
