Re: US 8th grade class seeks international water partner

Hi Carol, I am a Social Studies teacher in a private school in Madrid, Spain. My students are very motivated hard working 8th graders living in a very dry country...:). We would love to collaborate with your students on the water project. We are new to ePals, so I´d like for you to explain how the project is going to be done. My students are bilingual and this will be a great opportunity to exchange emails with American students.

    Thanks,

Hi, Carol, I am from Pushp's School Rishikul Vidya Peeth Sonepat.  So nice to hear from you.  Our school is a very big one, with 1600 students.  We are going to conduct an assembly on the same topic on the 27th of May.  The students will discuss water problems, recite poems, make speeches, slogans, posters, and quiz on how to save water by performing dances, songs, etc.  This is our international activity.  How do you conduct this activity at your school?Send me some pics if possible on my mail at tamanna@epals.com.  This favour of yours can be reciprocated as per your wishes.

    Thank you, Tamanna and Pushplata

    Hi Sara & Mrs. Baloglu,

My small middle school class is located in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and our town is located on a penisula.

We would love to join this international project and become ePals with your students.  My students can share lots of info on water resources,

    global issues, etc.

Can you let me know if this is OK, and what you might be working on???

    Thank You,

    Carol D'Amico

Re: U.S. 8th grade class seeks international water partner

    Hi Arzu,

I have 28 students, so I will have them partner up and correspond as a pair.  My students have filled out the water usage chart where they track their water usage for 24 hours.  All of the materials are on this site.  Please let me know if you need to know where to find them.  I had another teacher help me!  I am very excited to work together on this.  I hope to have the students send their emails next week, but I need to look into how to set up the accounts for the kids-and get parent permission.
