I'm from indiana. We have big schools with hundreds of people in each grade. Most American's are Christians, and eat out at places like McDonalds. We learn math, language, social studies, science, health or gym, and other things like choir, band, orchestra, and other things. My school goes from 7:00 to 2:40 but you get used to it.

Hi!  I'm Olivia.  I am from Iowa.  I go to school from 8:00 a.m. -3:25 p.m.  Some schools have grades K (kindergarten) -4, or 5-8, or 7-8.  But, my school has grades K-8. When you are fiinished with K-8, you go on to high school.  I hope this helped!  Olivia

The U.S. has many people from different countries with different cultures and they can celebrate their culture here in the U.S. The high school that I'm going right now is a public school and we don't wear uniforms but, we have a dress code.

Here are some of the rules (the last one, I'm not sure about the thickness but, it's about 2) :

1. make sure pants are about fingertip/fingernail length down

2. don't wear anything gang related

3. if you wear clothes that may show bra straps, make sure they're about 2 millimeters thick (or 2 cm)

My high school also teaches foreign languages: American sign language, French, Spanish, German, and Japanese.

Texas has ranches and farms and it has hot summers and cold winters. We are going through El Nino so we have droughts. Our state founder is Steven F. Austin. We are called the lone star state because Texas was its own country once. We are the 26th state and our leader is Sam Houston who saved Texas. He has his own city so does Steven F. Austin. Now then, George Washington was the first president and Abe Lincoln was 16th president and stopped slavery of Africans and Teddy Rossevelt led an army through World War 2 but I forgot what number president he was but right now Barack Obama is president and he is the first African-American president and if you've ever heard, there is a DS, DS lite, DSi, DSi XL, and now a 3DS which shows stuff in 3-D.
