Re: Australian 11-13 year olds seeking partners for Global Warming project

Hello Reinu, Firstly, I am happy to meet you here.  We have a Comenius Project from last year about family culture, and we had partner schools from Spain, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria.  Unfortunately, the project wasn't approved. We all decided to be regular and offer our services, but in my school, some of our teachers suggested another project about “Recycled Environment”, so I'm studying on it. We would like powerful partner schools from England,  Germany,  France, or an English speaking country like you for the Comenius Project that we have already prepared. And you will be the coordinator school to the project strategy, if you'd like. We would like to know you more. We are looking forward to your messages.

    Best wishes,

Hello, my name is Johnson and I am a teacher in a school in Ghana.  I will love to do this project if you haven't got anyone, since my school is from Africa and that will be nice to have such a project.

    Thank you.

MPSFG is a senior secondary school situated in the city of Meerut (India). We are working on a project named "A PROMISE TO THE ENVIRONMENT”. Our project aims at making the children aware about old traditional ways of day to day life which are ecofriendly and prevent global warming e.g. (Use of “matkas” ( earthen pots ) in place of refrigerators, use of “Khus” curtains in place of A.C). Students with the help of interview will collect data and compile the data. The relevant and feasible ideas would be forwarded to the authorities concerned for effective implementation. Information shall also be exchanged with partner schools to know about their ways of reducing global warming and incorporate the same thus inculcating two way learning process.

If you are interested then reply us on the following e-mail id: reinubabbar@epals.com

Hoping for quick response from your side.

    Thanking you.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Mrs. Reinu Babbar, Coordinator

    Meerut Public School for Girls

    Hello Deniz,

Thank you for your response to our post on ePals. We have been looking at global warming all year and have also found it a very interesting topic that affects everyone on the planet. Unfortunately we only have 8 weeks of our school term left before we break for our longest holidays over Christmas and Summer. We do not return to school until the beginning of February 2012. We have been in contact with a few schools and I know from experience that this process does take a while and so we probably won't get a chance to send more than 1 letter each before we finish for the year. So I apologise for not being able to link up with your school and wish you luck with finding other ePals to connect with.

    Hello Alan,

We are on holidays at the moment but are back on the 17th October for another 9 weeks before our big break over Christmas and summer. My class have spent most of this year focusing on sustainability and renewable energies. This term we are shifting the focus to food production and an overpopulating planet, as we unpick how food is packaged/transported/used and stored around the world. I am more than happy to link our classes up, we already had 5 schools we have corresponded with on and off throughout the last 6 months and it has been very rewarding to hear students' opinions on the issues of climate change and global warming. My class really enjoy getting emails from their ePals, there is so much we don't know about our global commuity, so each letter is a terrific insight.

If you are still interested I can send you my classes email adresses, but I only have 20 kids so maybe they can only connect with some of your students..?

Let me know what works for you,

    Karen Holmes

    Hi,

I teach grade 8 (12-13 year olds) in upstate New York. I would like to collaborate with another class of middle schoolers. We will be beginning a unit on ecology starting 10/10/11 and would like to work some other students from around the globe. I have 110 students. Perhaps we could work together?

Re: Australian 11-13 year olds seeking partners for Global Warming project

    Hello Sangeeta,

I have a year 7 class (12-13 year olds) who are looking at sustainable living through energy use, housing and food over the next semester. My students are keen to talk to other students around the world and see what they think about climate change and being responsible global citizens. I can send you a class list if you're still interested and you can partner your students with mine so we can start sending emails. Let me know if this arrangement works for you,

    Thanks
