If anyone is interested in a Canadian perspective we would love to collaborate with another class!  We have 28 Grade 4/5 students and we live in Port Coquitlam, BC (a suburb of Vancouver)  Looking forward to hearing from someone!

To clarify...

I think we can all work together to have students communicating to classes in various states.  I would like to pair up my students and have a few pairs email each of the schools that are represented in this thread.  I will have my students choose amongst the locations of the 6 schools herein and they can email your students individually or as a group - that will work out to about 8 of my students per school.  If you are interested in have 8-10 4th/5th grade students from California to email with your students, please email me at callie3202@epals.com.

I have 14 5th grade students in Wayne, New Jersey.  We have just learned abouth the Monarch butterfly and its migration.

We are beginning a unit on ecosystems, focusing on the milkweed community. My students would love to communicate with children their age and compare the different native animals/plants here to the unique animals/plants in Florida. We could also share what birds live here in the summer and then migrate to Florida.

I have 17 5th graders.  We have started studying Missouri ecosystems and are creating Glogs this week about three of our main ecosystems.  We are excited to share our learning with all of you!

We will start the project the week of 9/19.  I will have a more complete calendar once I meet with my partner teacher to plan it out.

OKay we seem to have a good enough number of people wanting to participate - so let's go! 

I am not sure if you are looking for more classes to contribute but I teach 5th grade in NJ (at the Jersey Shore) and am interested in participating. Please let me know.

Awesome! My class has never used ePals but we are very excited about the prospect.  Our school year begins next week.  My question is when will you begin?  My students will also create PSA's on endangered animals.  So I will be tying that in there!
