Re: Middle school in Sweden looking for ePals (13 - 16 years)

    Hello, Cynthia,

I am going to teach a group of high school students at the school Mchitar Sebstaci which is situated in Armenia. The students enrolled in this group are learners of English as a foreign language. Their mother tongue is Armenian. Their level of proficiency in English is low intermediate. They are going to take part in a course of English designed to promote their cross-cultural competence. Within the framework of this  course they are expected to exchange electronic messages with key-pals from other cultures. Thus we are looking for key-pals from foreign cultures eager to participate in an electronic communication program with Armenian learners of English.  The communication is intended to take place at least twice a week. The electronic communication aims to enable the students to exchange ideas on culture related topics such as mixed marriages, culture shock, etc. The medium of communication is to be English. If you are interested in collaborating with us, please let me know via this e-mail address: armenuhi@epals.com
The course is to begin from February 17. That is why we would strongly encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. Thank you.

    Hi Jörgen,
We are an English class at Yilan Senior High School in Taiwan. We are 16-year-old students, looking for ePals from around the world. Our first language is Chinese, but we are learning English as our 2nd language. We'll exchange videos, emails and even discuss some topics about different cultures, customs, festivals, educational systems, the cuisine, and so on. If our cooperation goes well, we may have a long-term collaboration through ePals or other ways. If you are interested in Chinese culture and my plan, please contact me and I can send you my students' ePals addresses. . Hope to hear from you soon.    Best regards, Cynthia.

Hi, I teach 14 year old middle school students in New Jersey, USA.  My course is called Family and Consumer Science.  I teach basic life skills, including nutrition, financial management, career exploration, creative fabric construction, human development.  I would love to have my students collaborate about "who they are and their goals for the future".  We could include our daily diets and exercise routines.  Let me know if this would fit your needs.

    Hello Jorgen,

I teach English/Language arts to 8th graders in a middle school setting in Maryland, U.S.A. I am looking for ePals for my classes. If you are interested, I would like to set something up. I will check into The Way We Are project. I have recently come back to ePals and it is a fabulous tool to use with students.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Terrie

Re: Middle school in Sweden looking for ePals (13 - 16 years)

Dear colleagues from all over the world,

For a school project by the end of February I need as many school-shirts (one per school) from different countries as I can get. In return, I can send you school T-shirts from our school in Germany (kids or adult sizes).

I really hope that you can help me implementing my project.

    Greetings from Germany

    Jennifer

    Hello Jorgen,

We are a class of 8th grade (ages 13 to 14).  I like the name of your project, The Way We Are.  Would your class be interested in communicating with our group?  We have about 15 students.

Hello Jörgen, I'm a French teacher teaching English as a foreign language in a secondary school in the outskirts of Paris.  I have a group of 30 students who are in 7th grade (13-14 years old) and who are very motivated to read and write about their school and lives here in France.  We could start emailing in February.  If you are interested, please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Nelly

Middle school in Sweden looking for ePals (13 - 16 years)

    Hello,

I'm a social science teacher in a Swedish middle school (7th, 8th, 9th grade). During spring I will lead a voluntary project with students from all grades, with the objective to learn more about other countries and cultures. Therefore I'm very interested in finding schools to collaborate with in a The Way We Are project. We could start e-mailing in February. Please contact me by e-mail if you are interested.

    Best regards,

    Jörgen
