I'm a veteran social studies teacher and teach a elective class every few years on natural disasters. Being new to epals, I was excited to see the epals unit on natural disaters as I'm thinking about offering the class again this fall.
However, since my class is not regularly offered, I could really use some lesson plans and handouts to compliment the epals activities. I'm thinking lessons with historical or scientific background readings, graphs, maps, pictures, personal accounts, literary excerpts, etc. with questions, activities, and strategies would be very helpful.
Making these resources available who be a great convenience for teachers and I think increase the educational value of the epals unit for students.
Do other teachers think specific lesson plans would be useful as well?
