I am sure you have several offers to work with you this year already, but I would like to work on this project with you, starting at the beginning of the next school year in September. I teach science to seventh grade students (12-13) in northeastern US. Many of my students have Italian heritage and I know their families would enjoy this wonderful learning experience as much as the students.

The topic of global warming could carry on for the entire school year it that works for you.

I would like to tell all the people in the forum that there are 5 sections in each class/grade and when I spoke about the GW projects, the children and the teachers were equally enthusiatic. Hi Christopher I am slightly at sea because I really cannot understand how to go about exchanging mails in this forum. I feel that if we use the email id it would work better. My id is umarajan@epals.com First I am happy to tell you that I feel our classes are well matched because I have 35 boys. They will be joining us after the term break on the third of April. They are well aware of global warming and its effects. We can begin with the first email on the 4th of April We can work our way writing once a week. How would you like to correspond? Will the kids have individual, paired or group accounts? What activities would you like to include? We are making posters on global warming. We will compose and sing a song on earth day and recycling We are also doing a word search on environment. We shall be celebrating Earth Day with a powerpoint presentation by the boys shown at the assembly and will also do an activity on carbon footprint. Our focus will also be cutting down of forests resulting in Global warming and thereby loss of habitat for our native animals Do you have any ideas? We are eager to begin regards Uma
