Re: Water Project Partners Needed, Australia

    Hello Troy,

I would be very happy to partner with your students. I teach a group of 7-9 yr. olds in grade 3 in Victor, New York, a suburb of Rochester, right near Lake Ontario. Thanks to the lake, we have plenty of clouds and precipitation of all sorts.

We are currently studying a unit on the water cycle, and I would really like them to be in contact with students in other parts of the world where water is not so bountiful. I want them to appreciate water for the precious resource it is, and learn about their responsibility to keep it clean and not to waste it.

I integrate a lot of technology in my teaching. We have just begun our school year, and we have a class wiki which is just getting started. Here is a link to our wiki:

I hope to hear from you. harper29@epals.com

I have a class of sixteen 7-9 year olds from a small private school in Redlands, California, USA.  I would love to participate in the water project if you are still looking for a classroom to partner with.  We will be available to start in September, but my project timeframe is flexible.  Please let me know if you are interested!

    Re: Water Project, Australia

Thanks for your reply Charma. We would definitely like to collaborate with your class. We have 18 students aged from 6-12 and will be starting the project this week. We could exchange student email details, I could get my students to send your students Email #1 introducing themselves next week. If you could email me on ttaylor@epals.com then we can discuss further. Looking forward to it!

I have a group (11) of 7th graders that are ages 11-12-13 here in Manhattan Kansas, home of Kansas State University, USA. We experienced a drought until this year and we have had so much snow. It has been raining for the past 2 days and we are expecting snow tomorrow and Saturday. We would like to collaborate with your class.

    Water Project Partners Needed, Australia

We are looking for a partner for the Water project. We are a group of students ranging from 6-12 years old from Serpell Primary School in Melbourne, Australia. We are looking to complete this project over the next few months and will be ready to start in the next couple of weeks. At the moment we are facing water restrictions and drought conditions in Melbourne and it would be really interesting to work on this project with a class from somewhere else in the world that may experience different issues with their water. Please let us know if you are interested! Look forward to hearing from you!
