Hi, My name is Gulsafak Aslan.I am an English teacher at İsmail Erez Primary School in Turkey. My school is in the capital city of Ankara. We have social and successful students despite our school's lack of space; facilities- both educational and cultural. We don't have many classrooms, our classes are crowded, but our students win many promising awards at local and national competitions, get good marks and help their physically and mentally retarded friends educated in their regular classrooms as a govermental project which is called mainstreaming and applied nearly all around the world.

My colleaques and I have started a new european project about special education students in our school and searching for a partner school. I have taught students with specific learning disabilities, multiple handicaps, behavioral disabilities, moderate and severe autism, and Down Syndrome. For the past 3 years I have taught students in a self-contained classroom in a public school setting, but have also taught in pull-out/resource room and inclusion settings.
