Re: Election Process: The Electoral College

In my opinion, the electoral vote shouldn't be the only count. They should also consider the popular vote. I truly believe that the people should be the ones to elect the president, not politicians.

    What you do you think?

    Thanks

Re: Election Process: The Electoral College

    I think sometimes it works.

But if you win, the popular vote loses the electoral college, that is won't be fair.

Re: Election Process: The Electoral College

I think that the Electoral College is a good thing because if both candidates get some votes, then the one with the most votes should get it.

Re: Election Process: The Electoral College

It's a total rip-off if someone actually has the most votes and doesn't become the President because of the "electoral college." That can't be right, don't you think? I mean, does that mean someone's vote didn't count? I mean, why should some actual people's votes not count because their state doesn't have enough electoral votes. Why did they make the Electoral College in the first place?

    Election Process: The Electoral College

The Electoral College was created by the "Founding Fathers" of the United States, in the in the US Constitution. Somtimes, candidates win the popular vote, but actually lose an election, because they lose the Electoral College vote. Al Gore in 2000 was an example of this. Do you think the Electoral College still works today?
