Description:
With bullying becoming more of a problem in schools, the students and I decided to make videos on the different ways students are dealing with the issue. The students polled students from our school and others from around the world. During the year, using ePals, the students made several friends from different countries including: South Wales, France, Kenya, South Africa, Turkey, Australia, Philippines, Germany, and Italy. The students were surprised but not shocked that the same problems were occurring all around the world.

The students started by making a story board with a problem and solution. They also had to show what consequences would happen if you made the wrong decision. After writing the story, the students had to video each scene with the option of using a green screen. The students used iMovie to add sound, edit, and put the movie together.
Outcomes:
- Students will compose a story board with an introduction of characters and problem, character building examples, plot moving examples, climax, and resolution.
- Students will practice good decision making, story structure, story telling, and team building skills throughout the project.
- Students will create a video showing what to do in different bullying situations.
Key Project Element(s):
- ePals Website: Students were able to get global advice.
- Apple Store: Students were able to learn how to use iMovie from professionally trained employers.
- Story Plot Line Handout: Students used the graphic organizer to plan the movie.
- Students critical thinking to solve bullying problems.
