Biodiversity is a hard word that describes a simple idea: all the different kinds of living things on Earth. Every ecosystem has its own unique biodiversity. (Not sure what an ecosystem is? The tricky part of biodiversity is that all the forms of life are interconnected, like pieces in a puzzle, or like “a house of cards—remove one member and the entire system may suffer.” Biodiversity affects our planet – our farms, our water, our landscapes. It even affects human life. To understand how, explore below!
