The International Reading Association (IRA) is a nonprofit membership association of individual and institutional literacy professionals. Our members are dedicated to promoting high levels of literacy for all by improving the quality of reading instruction, disseminating research and information about reading, and encouraging the lifelong reading habit. IRA's peer-reviewed research and practitioner journals are known throughout the professional literacy community as preferred vehicles for publishing leading research and research-based instructional strategies. These include:
