In my class each day, we give compliments. We make a circle and you have to compliment the person to your left or to your right or whatever we decide the pattern will be that day on something they had done well, not something they are wearing or that they look pretty but things they have done like hold a door open or pick up something that had dropped

I teach a 4th/5th grade class on Galveston Island in Texas. They are aged 10-12. I have about 14 students and would love linking with classes in other places for snail mail exchange, email etc. We will be doing a big project this year on energy, looking at alternative forms of energy and would love to have some correspondance with those in other countries
